The European Space Agency (ESA) is seeking a Contracts Officer to join the Directorate of Commercialisation, Industry and Competitiveness at ESOC in Darmstadt, Germany. This role is crucial for managing procurement activities related to Mission Operations and Ground Systems technology, including software developments and contracts in Space Situational Awareness and Space Safety.

The role: As a Contracts Officer, you will work autonomously and in direct collaboration with initiating services, ensuring independence, impartiality, transparency, and compliance with procurement, tendering, and contracting processes. Your responsibilities will include preparing procurement and contract documentation, organizing procurement stages, ensuring compliance with Key Performance Indicators, and providing guidance on legal and industrial policy measures. You will also monitor contract performance and handle administrative, contractual, legal, and industrial issues.

Job requirements: The ideal candidate will have a master's degree in law, with advanced studies in public contract law, and at least 6 years of relevant professional experience in contracts and/or public procurement.
