Role Summary
- Lead and implement all satellite projects within the GEO Satellites Programme Office.

The European Space Agency (ESA) is seeking a Head of the GEO Satellites Programme Office, located at ESTEC in Noordwijk, Netherlands. This role is pivotal within the Directorate of Connectivity and Secure Communications, where you will report to the Head of the Satellite Programmes Department (CSC-P).
The role: As the Head of the GEO Satellites Programme Office, you will be responsible for the implementation of all satellite projects assigned to the GEO Satellites Programme Office. This includes initiating new GEO satellite projects in close coordination with relevant entities within the Systems, Strategic Programme Lines, and Technology Department (CSC-S) and the Secure Connectivity Programme Department (CSC-I). Your duties will involve coordinating matrix support from other ESA directorates and the ESA Security Office, and running the CSC centre of competence for industrialisation in close interaction with industry.
Job requirements: Your tasks will include supporting Phase 0/A/B1 activities for new projects, managing the initiation of Phase B2/C/D/E activities, and overseeing the design, development, manufacturing, testing, and launch up to in-orbit commissioning of the space segment. Additionally, you will manage stakeholder coordination with European operators, system integrators, and Member State delegations, among others.
Benefits: This position offers a 4-year appointment, extendable to an indefinite duration based on performance. You will be supported by staff from the Business Control and Programme Management Support Office for programme and project control, and from the Product Assurance and Safety Office for programme and project PA&S functions.
