The European Space Agency (ESA) is seeking a qualified Industrial Policy Engineer to join our Industrial Policy Section within the Industrial Policy and Space Economy Division of the Industrial Policy and Auditing Department. This role is based at ESA Headquarters in Paris, France, with responsibilities also covering our site in Noordwijk, NL.
The role: As an Industrial Policy Engineer, you will engage in fostering dialogue with industry in ESA Member States to systematically enhance ESA's understanding of the European industry and global markets. You will be tasked with delivering industrial policy products and services to Member States' delegations and industry, as well as to ESA programme directorates and high-level management. Your work will involve close cooperation with the Space Economy Team in the Division, the Industrial Return and Analytics Office, the SME Office, and the Capability and Country Support Division. Additionally, you will collaborate with programme directorates, including the Directorate of Technology, Engineering and Quality.
Job requirements: The position requires a master's degree in a relevant field. You should have a general understanding of the ESA institutional framework and programmes, including their technical and programmatic requirements. Knowledge of ESA policies, including geo-return principles and related industrial policy tools and measures, is essential.
