At the European Space Agency (ESA), located at ESA Headquarters in Paris, France, we are seeking a Collective Launch Service Procurement Technical Officer. This role is crucial within the Directorate of Space Transportation (STS), specifically under the Strategy and Institutional Launches division. As a Technical Officer, you will report directly to the Head of Collective Launch Service Procurement (CLSP) and play a pivotal role in supporting ESA missions by managing and coordinating their launch services from inception through to execution.
The role: As a Collective Launch Service Procurement Technical Officer, your responsibilities will include interfacing with mission representatives from the early mission definition stages through to the completion of the launch campaign. You will act as the primary point of contact for mission representatives, providing expertise on mission-to-launch-system compatibility and coordinating with ESA engineering teams and launch service providers to ensure mission success. Your duties will also involve conducting mission feasibility analyses, identifying suitable launch systems, and managing the procurement and adaptation of launch services as needed.
