Principal Process Engineer

Rivan Industries is a synthetic fuel company focused on decarbonising heavy industry by making synthetic fuel cheaper than fossil fuels. The role: As a Principal Process Engineer at Rivan Industries, you will own the process engineering of the Rivan system. This role involves the full development cycle across any of our modules, including reactors, electrolysers, or DAC. The role can be tailored to fit the specialist skillset of the applicant. Responsibilities include ideating novel architectures, driving Aspen modelling and optimisation, owning detailed process calculations, defining control architectures, specifying and procuring components, and overseeing process safety. You will also be responsible for the assembly, integration, site commissioning, and test plans of our systems.

Job requirements: The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of professional experience and hold a Bachelor’s or Masters in chemical engineering or a related field. Experience in designing, building, commissioning, and operating deployed process plants is essential. Additional skills such as HAZID, HAZOP, and LOPA leadership experience, CAD experience, and Chartered Engineering Status will be advantageous.

Benefits: The position offers a competitive salary range of £100-120k, significant share options as part of the early team, private health insurance, and unlimited time-off. We provide extensive relocation support, including an additional £6000 per year to live close to our HQ in Bermondsey, South London. Visa sponsorship is available.
