About The Tutor Trust
The Tutor Trust was co-founded in 2010 by Executive Director Abigail Shapiro and Nick Bent, our current Chief Executive Officer, taking the seed of an idea and over the last ten years developing an award-winning organisation of almost 60 people and reaching more than 26,000 pupils.
We are the only organisation to have demonstrated the impact of our tutoring model in a randomised control trial, and the quality of our provision and evidence of our impact are core to our mission and growth. We have an inclusive and supportive culture and every team member, trustee, and tutor has an important voice and a vital role.
A proudly Northern born-and-bred charity, we serve the Greater Manchester, Leeds-Bradford and Merseyside city regions. With our strong SMT, robust financial position and motivated, ambitious and adaptable team, The Tutor Trust is excellently positioned to deliver our next 3-year strategy to double in size whilst continuing to serve the needs of the North of England.
About the role
As our new CEO, you will join us at an exciting time as we look ahead and build on our amazing decade of growth and delivery. You will have an opportunity to work with our expert team, trustees and tutors to deliver this ambitious strategy, drive our impact and improve the equality of education in our city regions.
Our new CEO will promote and reinforce The Tutor Trust’s strong culture relating to its sense of mission, focus on quality and impact and desire to grow in order to reach and impact more lives. We are looking for a leader who shares our values, is open, inclusive and developmental in their approach, will thrive when working with a strong team, and will collaborate with all internal stakeholders to deliver our current strategy and to shape ongoing strategic development.
You will also be a key representative of The Tutor Trust externally, including contributing to the national dialogue on improving educational outcomes and helping to establish tutoring as an essential part of school education.
If you are a collaborative leader with experience in growing organisations and a passion for boosting educational opportunities for disadvantaged children, we would love to hear from you.
