Role Summary:

  • Serve as a pivotal player in ESA's leadership as Director of Commercialisation and Industry Partnership.

Role Requirements:

  • 10+ years of executive-level experience in managing large-scale teams and programs.
  • A Master's degree in a related domain and a deep understanding of the titan tech or space-related commercialisation.
  • A robust network and sound knowledge of commercialisation challenges and opportunities.

The role: As the Director of Commercialisation and Industry Partnership, you will report directly to the Director General and contribute to ESA-wide management as a member of the ESA Executive Board. You will be responsible for the commercialisation and business development strategy of ESA, supporting the industrialisation and commercialisation of space products and services. This includes the development of integrated downstream applications and solutions, scaling up on global markets, and accessing investments and finance for the European space industry. You will oversee ARTES 4.0 commercial partnership projects, the European Launcher Challenge (ELC), Boost!, and ACCESS programmes, among others.

Job requirements: The ideal candidate will have more than 10 years’ experience in senior management positions at the executive level, managing teams and programmes of significant size in terms of budget and human resources, preferably in an international context. A master's degree in law, economics, business administration, or a technical domain is required. You should possess a well-established network and a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities related to the commercialisation of technology- or space-related programmes.
