The role: Chief Commercial Officer

We are looking for an exceptional Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) to join our client’s leadership team. The CCO will play a key part in driving the business forward through a time of growth. 

The successful candidate will be working closely with the CEO and all departments to develop business strategies that ensure the company’s goals and opportunities are maximised. 


Responsibilities

  • Developing commercial strategies and partnerships with the goal of continued and accelerating business growth
  • Ensuring all areas of the business are aligned to the organisation’s objectives and meet (or exceed) targets
  • Collaborating with CEO, CFO & CMO on all areas of the business including budgeting and strategy
  • Analysing financial reports related to sales and presenting these to provide regular updates to senior management
  • Establishing KPIs, key metrics and incentives for the sales team and the business as a whole
  • Staying up to date with trends within the industry and evolving customer needs to develop business plans
  • Leading employees by motivating, setting high standards and providing guidance


Requirements

  • Proven experience as CCO, Commercial Director or similar senior role
  • Highly strategic with demonstrable skills related to business planning
  • Tech sector experience preferred (ideally EdTech)
  • Able to navigate the challenges of a high-growth / scale-up organisation
  • Strong leadership skills, having managed teams previously
  • Detail oriented with strong organisational skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Comfortable with numbers and measures of performance
  • Analytical and able to make decisions based on data
