Deployment Project Engineer

Rivan Industries is a pioneering synthetic fuel company focused on decarbonizing heavy industry. Our mission is to make synthetic fuel more affordable than fossil fuels, thereby sustaining life on earth by keeping CO2 locked underground. We design and manufacture modular synthetic fuel plants that include a DAC system, an Alkaline Electrolyser, and a Sabatier Reactor. We are also vertically integrated with off-grid DC solar and the European gas-grid. Recently, we deployed the UK's largest synthetic fuel plant and are planning to scale this up by 1000x in the next two years.

The role: As a Deployment Project Engineer at Rivan Industries, you will be responsible for delivering projects on time and within budget across multiple sites. You will develop and improve the deployment playbook to ensure that Rivan's sites are constructed safely, quickly, and at a massive scale. Your responsibilities will include leading civil design for new sites, overseeing pre-construction and construction activities in compliance with CDM and UK Health & Safety regulations, supporting tendering and procurement, streamlining internal processes, and conducting site visits to verify progress and compliance. You will also track project budgets, schedule variations, and procurement, proactively flagging and mitigating risks.

Job requirements: The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in multi-project program management, deep knowledge of CDM Regulations, HSE compliance, and construction best practices. A background in civils/infrastructure and technical literacy spanning civil, electrical, and mechanical disciplines is essential. Commercial acumen with experience in managing budgets, variations, retention, and incentives is also required. You should be a clear and effective communicator with strong stakeholder management and report writing skills, and comfortable splitting time between our office and active project sites.
