As an External Affairs & Engagement Officer, your role will entail:

  • Coordinating and implementing high-quality engagement with a broad array of stakeholders
  • Preparation of briefings and event coordination
  • Pivotal role in Kew’s Ambassador Programme
  • Ensuring stakeholder engagement is driven by accurate data and strong processes with effective CRM tools usage

For this role, you need:

  • Experience in supporting projects or events within a dynamic team environment
  • Exceptional admin, coordination, and organizational skills
  • Comfort in interacting with diverse stakeholders, including high-level individuals
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and data maintenance, compliant with GDPR and data protection

The role: As an External Affairs & Engagement Officer, you will support Kew’s external affairs and stakeholder engagement activity. This includes coordinating and delivering high-quality engagement with a wide range of external stakeholders such as ambassadors, partners, cultural organisations, embassies, and sector leaders. You will play a key role in preparing briefings, coordinating visits and events, supporting Kew’s Ambassador Programme, and ensuring that stakeholder engagement is underpinned by accurate data, strong processes, and effective use of CRM systems.

Job requirements: The successful candidate will have experience supporting projects, events, or engagement activity within a busy team environment. Strong administrative, coordination, and organisational skills are essential. You should be confident in communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including senior and high-profile individuals, and comfortable working with sensitivity and appropriate protocols. Experience working with databases or CRM systems, including researching, maintaining, and updating contact records, and handling personal and professional data in line with GDPR and data protection requirements is required.
