Youth Leadership Teacher

As the Youth Leadership Teacher at ISSOS, you will be part of an exciting organization that offers international summer school programs at prestigious locations, including St Andrews. ISSOS is dedicated to providing a safe, inspiring, and educational environment for students from around the globe, focusing on a broad range of academic and extracurricular courses.

The role: You will guide students aged 13-18 through our bespoke Youth Leadership program. This involves hands-on learning with interactive workshops, energetic activities, and challenges designed to boost students' confidence, leadership skills, and interpersonal abilities. You will deliver these sessions every weekday morning for three weeks, ensuring each lesson is tailored to foster student development in meaningful ways.

Job requirements: Previous teaching experience is essential, particularly with international students. A strong background in leadership and mentoring young people is required. You must be fluent in English and possess excellent communication skills, along with the ability to manage a classroom effectively and maintain a nurturing yet challenging atmosphere.

Benefits: We offer competitive compensation of £2,200 per session, with the full contract totaling £4,400. Accommodation is provided in St Andrews, and meals are covered once students arrive. You will also be reimbursed up to £150 for travel expenses to and from St Andrews.

Additional information: All staff members are expected to participate in evening and weekend activities on a rotational basis and contribute to our summer magazine. A full criminal background check is required for all staff, and ISSOS covers the cost of this check. Applicants must be UK citizens or have the legal right to work in the UK, as we cannot sponsor visas.
