Role Summary

At the European Space Agency (ESA), we are excited to offer a position within the Directorate of Space Transportation, specifically in the Flight Programmes Department. Our team is responsible for the technical and programmatic implementation of the Ariane 6 programmes. This includes development, Competitiveness Improvement, Product Adaptation, and the Exploitation Accompaniment Programme. We focus on ensuring the technical coherence of Ariane at the Launcher System level and monitor Ariane 6 Exploitation as outlined in the Launcher Exploitation Agreement.

The role: As an ESA Graduate Trainee, you will take over the ongoing project of developing and tuning an AI-supported Ariane 6 intranet knowledge database. Your tasks will include benchmarking of AI RAG prototype, implementation within the ESA framework, conducting tests for compliance with ESA requirements, and supporting GUI development. You will also be involved in the initial and continuous enrichment of the database with technical information, and communicate with other ESA directorates for potential cooperation.

Job requirements: Candidates should be in the final year of or have just completed a master's degree in science, focusing on aerospace or computer science. You should possess good interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a multicultural environment, and have a keen interest in technical domains. Previous experience in international teams and flexibility are considered assets.
