Role Summary

Role Requirements

  • Prospective candidates should be in the final year of or recently graduated from a master's degree program in Physics, Physical Oceanography, or Marine Sciences.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work in a multicultural environment are necessary, with prior experience in international teams considered beneficial.

The role: As a Graduate Trainee, you will be part of the Earth System Science Hub at ESA, a new science laboratory that serves as a center for networking and scientific collaboration. You will work on the ADVANCED MEDITERRANEAN OPEN SCIENCE DATA ANALYSIS LAB (MeDAL) initiative, aimed at enhancing scientific understanding of the Mediterranean Sea. This role involves developing, testing, and validating new methods to reconstruct the dynamical state of the Mediterranean Sea at high spatio-temporal resolution.

Job requirements: Candidates should have recently completed or be in the final year of a master's degree in Physics, Physical Oceanography, or Marine Sciences. You should possess good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work in a multicultural environment. Experience in international teams is considered an asset.
