ISSOS is seeking a Theatre Teacher for our summer school program at the University of St Andrews. This role is an exciting opportunity to work with international students aged 13-18, helping them explore and develop their theatrical skills. The program runs from June 24, 2026, to August 13, 2026.
The role: You will conduct skills-based master classes and ensemble workshops, guiding students to create an original piece of verbatim theatre with aspects of physical theatre. The aim is to instill a love for the performing arts in students, enhancing their self-confidence and performance skills.
Job requirements: Candidates must have experience in various performance styles, including verbatim and physical theatre, and must have prior teaching experience, preferably with international students. Fluency in English and strong classroom management skills are essential.
Benefits: This position is fully residential with meals provided once students arrive. Staff are involved in evening and additional activities, ensuring a vibrant community experience. Travel expenses up to £150 are reimbursed.
