ISSOS is seeking a Theatre Teacher for our summer school program in Cambridge. This role is an exciting opportunity to work with international students aged 13-18, helping them explore and develop their theatrical skills. The course focuses on verbatim and physical theatre, culminating in a student-devised performance at the end of a 3-week program.
The role: As a Theatre Teacher at ISSOS, you will conduct skills-based masterclasses and ensemble workshops, four afternoons per week. Your main goal will be to inspire students and foster a love for the performing arts, regardless of their previous experience. You will also be involved in evening activities and ensure the safety and happiness of the students.
Job requirements: Candidates must have experience in various performance styles, particularly verbatim and physical theatre, and must have prior teaching experience, preferably with international students. Fluency in English and strong classroom management skills are essential.
Benefits: The position is fully residential, with accommodation provided. Meals are covered once students arrive. Staff are responsible for their meals during the three-day orientation. A travel reimbursement of up to £150 is also offered for travel to and from Cambridge.
