Backend Developer - Diversio - Remote

Diversio is looking for a Back End Developer. 

As a Back End Developer at Diversio, your primary responsibilities will include being a key pillar of our strategy for 2022 and executing an ambitious growth plan. You are interested in learning about Diversity & Inclusion and how Diversio can help businesses enhance their efforts. You are inquisitive, well organized, hardworking, and have a history of success in reaching your targets.  You bring a positive attitude and demonstrate creative problem-solving when approaching technical issues, and maintain meticulous attention to detail and implementation. 

Responsibilities:

Take an idea, concept, or mock-up and write efficient, robust and well-tested production-ready code.

Demonstrate proficiency with our stack, which is composed of Python, Django, PostgreSQL and React (hosted on AWS).

Use GitHub for pull requests and code reviews, as well as, Slack, CircleCI, Sentry, ClickUp, Confluence, New Relic, BrowserStack, etc.

Required Experience

2-4 years of experience with Python and Django 2+ years of professional work experience Experience working in an Agile environment Good SQL and databases knowledge, PostgreSQL, MySQL or comparable RDBS experience Good understanding of best coding practices and standards

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with writing tests in Python, Django and React is a plus Experience with Git and/or Github BS/MS in Computer Science or engineering is helpful, but not required Knowledge of NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, or popular machine learning libraries is good to have but not required
