The European Space Agency (ESA) is excited to announce an opening for the position of AIT, Operations and Launcher Interface Manager within the Directorate of Earth Observation Programmes at our ESTEC site in Noordwijk, Netherlands. This role is crucial for the Sterna Project under the Meteorological Programmes, which follows the successful Arctic Weather Satellite (AWS) project. The Sterna project involves the development and operation of a constellation of 20 satellites aimed at providing critical meteorological data.

The role: As the AIT, Operations and Launcher Interface Manager, you will be responsible for managing the Assembly, Integration, and Test (AIT) operations and launch service aspects of the Sterna satellites. This includes overseeing the launch campaigns and ensuring the satellites' compatibility with launch service requirements. You will work closely with the Sterna Project Manager to manage risks, schedule, and ensure the project's alignment with strategic goals.

Job requirements: The ideal candidate will have a master's degree in engineering or a related field, with significant experience in satellite project phases, including integration, testing, and in-orbit commissioning. Experience in managing industrial activities and knowledge of space system development, product assurance standards, and ESA's industrial processes are essential.
