Role Summary
- As the Science Operations Development Manager, you will head up the development of the Science Operations Centre for the pioneering Arrakihs mission, which aims to image galaxy halos in the neighboring universe.
- In collaboration with all ESA science missions, you will report to the Head of the Science Operations Development Division.

Role Requirements

Our mission is to empower Europe to lead in space science. We are currently seeking a Science Operations Development Manager for our Science Operations Department within the Directorate of Science. This department is pivotal in overseeing space missions from their study phase to the end of operations, developing science operation systems, and managing the archival and curation of mission data to maximize scientific output for humanity.
The Role: You will be assigned as the Science Operations Development Manager for the Arrakihs mission, leading a team to develop its Science Operations Centre. This role involves reporting to the Head of the Science Operations Development Division and working collaboratively with teams across all ESA science missions. The primary objective of the Arrakihs mission is to image galaxy halos in the nearby Universe, aiding in answering key questions in cosmology and galaxy evolution. The mission is set for a launch in the early 2030s.
