Land Development Manager

Rivan Industries is a vertically integrated synthetic fuel company designed to decarbonise industries you can't electrify. We aim to make synthetic fuel cheaper than fossil fuels and sustain life on earth by keeping CO2 locked underground.

The role: As a Land Development Manager, you will accelerate our origination strategy and grow our renewable Portuguese energy pipeline. You will work with land agents and self-source land opportunities for our solar and synthetic fuel energy parks. Your responsibilities will include leading site selection strategies and framework agreements with land agents, and negotiating land access agreements in line with project requirements. This role will be predominantly focused on Portugal, but will also include close alignment with our colleagues in the UK and Spain to share resources and help our wider origination strategy.

Job requirements: The ideal candidate will be MRICS accredited with over 5 years of post-chartership professional experience in large-scale renewable and infrastructure projects. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field is required. You must have a clean driving license and be able and willing to travel, meet with, and represent Rivan to land agents, solicitors, land owners, farmers, and relevant interested parties.

Benefits: The position offers a base salary of 60,000 to 80,000 GBP, significant share options as part of the early team, remote work in Portugal with regular visits to the UK, private health insurance, and unlimited time-off.
