ISSOS is seeking a Study Skills Teacher for our summer school program at the University of Cambridge. This role is designed to prepare high school students for university-level study by enhancing their academic skills and work habits.

The organisation: ISSOS provides a vibrant, international learning environment that is both fun and challenging. We pride ourselves on creating a supportive atmosphere where students from over 80 nationalities meet and learn from each other.

The role: As a Study Skills Teacher, you will lead a class of international students aged 13-18. Your responsibilities include teaching for 3 hours per day, Monday to Friday, over a 3-week program. You will need to develop and execute engaging lesson plans that focus on critical thinking, time management, essay writing, presentation skills, and internet research.

Job requirements: Applicants must have prior experience in teaching study skills and preferably have experience with international students. A confident public speaker with well-established research skills is ideal. Knowledge of the International Baccalaureate Course is beneficial. Fluency in English is required.

Benefits: The position is fully residential with accommodation provided. Meals are covered once students arrive. Staff are involved in various events and activities, ensuring a dynamic work environment.

Additional information: All staff must pass a criminal background check. Involvement in evening programs and activities on a rota basis is required. Travel expenses up to £150 for travel to/from Cambridge will be reimbursed.
