At the European Space Agency's EU Relations Office, you'll be in the epicenter of European space policy, working to represent ESA’s interests within various EU institutions. Role Summary

Role Requirements
- Applicants should be in their final year or freshly graduated from a master’s degree program in Law, International Relations or Political Science.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills are required.
- An ability to work independently and within multicultural teams.
- Prior experience of working in international teams is a plus.

Our team and mission The EU Relations Office is located in the heart of the European Quarter of Brussels. Staff members follow and report on the development and implementation of European space policy and work with ESA Directorates to represent the Agency’s interests within those institutions. The Office also liaises with the Permanent Representations to the EU and the Working Party on Space, the European Parliament and the European Commission to ensure that ESA’s views are continuously voiced in the decision-making process. Thus, it advises on suitable policy regarding ESA activities with the European Union and on strengthening relations with the Commissioners and the Directorates General of the Commission, the Cabinets, the European Parliament and its Committees, the EU Council and the European Council, and relevant EU agencies. In carrying out its activities, the Office reports to the Director of Strategy, Legal and External Matters, and coordinates closely with all ESA Directorates, including support in the implementation of programme activities.
The role To support the work of the EU Relations Office, your tasks and responsibilities would include: Supporting staff members with their work on legislative proposals and other initiatives concerning space policy, space programs, and space governance (for example the EU Space Act and the MFF), in particular: Following hearings and committee meetings and preparing flash reports; Preparing presentations and/or briefings for ESA internal use; Developing and an information database and an information-sharing mechanism. Ad hoc tasks, as needed, in support of the EU Relations Office or the Head of Office, including the preparation of briefings, presentations and speeches.
Job requirements You should have recently completed or be in the final year of your master’s degree in Law, International Relations or Political Science. You should have good interpersonal and communication skills and should be able to work in a multicultural environment, both independently and as part of a team. Previous experience of working in international teams can be considered an asset. Your motivation, overall professional perspective and career goals will also be explored during the later stages of the selection process.
