The role: As a Liaison Officer, you will be based at ESOC in Darmstadt, Germany with a resident assignment to the ESA Houston Office, Texas, USA. Your primary responsibility will be to facilitate technical and programmatic coordination between ESA and NASA teams, particularly for the International Space Station (ISS) and post-ISS programmes. This includes representing ESA in various reviews, boards, panels, and working groups, and acting as the primary ESA Liaison Officer for ISS operations and other Low Earth Orbit (LEO) programmes.
Job requirements: The ideal candidate will have a master's degree in a relevant field, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of human spaceflight operations and liaison activities. A good knowledge of collaborative HRE ESA/NASA LEO programmes, ISS design, operations, procedures, and tools is essential. You should also be familiar with NASA commercial crew vehicle design and operations.
