At Wakehurst, Kew’s wild botanic garden in Sussex, we are excited to offer an opportunity for an experienced operations manager to join our newly formed Learning and Public Engagement (LPE) team. Reporting to the Head of LPE, this role is instrumental in delivering our mission by ensuring that our learning experiences and events are executed flawlessly from booking and ticketing to staffing and delivery.
The Role: You will lead the smooth operation of Learning and Public Engagement at Wakehurst for a diverse audience. Your responsibilities will include evolving and managing efficient systems such as ticketing and CRM processes, staffing, logistics, and compliance. You will work closely with colleagues across Wakehurst to develop cohesive, high-quality programs supported by strong data, effective teamwork, and well-managed resources.
Job Requirements: We are looking for a candidate who is an expert in operations and ticketing with a passion for public engagement that connects people with nature. You should bring extensive experience in operational management within customer-facing environments, with a proven track record of implementing and using ticketing and CRM systems. Leadership skills and the ability to improve processes through robust data analysis are essential. You should be skilled at balancing multiple priorities, budgets, and project strands, combining meticulous attention to detail with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
