The Role

Fantastic opportunity for a strategically minded, data-driven analyst with strong communication and presentation skills. Working across our portfolio of port and wine brands, you will be responsible for conducting analysis across a wide range of internal and external data sources, managing an ongoing calendar of reporting, and supporting the commercial department in ensuring that data and insights are at the heart of our planning and decision-making processes. Specific focus areas will include 1) historic sales analysis , ii) competitor and trends analysis, iii) sales forecasting, targeting and investment budgeting, iv) allocations and pricing, v) research into new innovations, vi) managing consumer and category research efforts, and vii) being a central pivot in the overall commercial department data management. 

The principal objective is to use insights and analysis to drive excellent strategic-planning and decision-making that supports the ongoing development of our brands and our commercial success.

The Candidate

> At least 3 years’ professional experience in a relevant role (business analysis, commercial analysis, data analysis, management consulting, or advisory).

> Relevant professional or academic qualifications.

> Skills: advanced proficiency in Excel and other analysis/database tools, strong PowerPoint and data visualisation skills, experience in process management & process improvement, experience with software that supports efficient data tracking, teamwork and reporting (sales systems, CRMs, ERPs).

> Desired competencies / characteristics: excellent attention-to-detail, fast worker, good with people, team player, organised, reliable, flexible, fast learner, receptive to coaching/feedback.

> Fluent English (speaking and writing to professional levels). Ideally a Portuguese speaker (although non-Portuguese speakers are welcome to apply).

> Able to demonstrate understanding of our business and the wine / fortified wine sector.
