The European Space Agency (ESA) is seeking two Senior Policy Advisors for its EU Relations Office, which is part of the Directorate of Strategy, Legal and External Affairs. This role is based in the ESA Brussels Office, with the possibility of duties at ESA Headquarters in Paris, France.
The role: As a Senior Policy Advisor, you will report directly to the Head of the EU Relations Office. Your primary responsibilities will include liaising with EU institutions such as the European Commission, the Council of the EU, and the European Parliament. You will actively promote ESA's policies and programmes, ensuring they align with EU objectives, and support the Director General's Services and Programme Directorates in their interactions with EU institutions.
Job requirements: The position requires a master's degree in political science, international relations, engineering, or law. Candidates should have a strong understanding of the EU institutions and the European and international space sector. Key competencies include result orientation, operational efficiency, fostering cooperation, relationship management, continuous improvement, and forward thinking.
