Your impact
At Otrium, we don’t blindly fall in love with ideas, we listen to what the data tells us. As a Head of Data Analytics at Otrium, you will play a key role in ensuring that every decision at Otrium is driven by data. You will be a part of the growing Data & Analytics team and work on improving the data warehouse, building dashboards and answering complex questions about our customers and our business.
Your responsibilities
- People management & technical leadership of a team of 8-10 Data Analysts - conduct performance cycles, train & mentor them through continuous feedback, own the Analytics team sprints
- Report to the Director of Data & Analytics, work closely with the data engineering team and other senior leaders to define the roadmap & long-term strategy for the data analytics function as a whole
- Develop robust data analytics solutions according to requirements or proactively to support a variety of stakeholders make data-driven decisions
- Leverage analytics & machine learning to answer complex questions about our customers and our business
- Work on projects that span across the entire range of data analytics – descriptive, diagnostic, predictive & prescriptive analytics
- Identify & resolve technical, performance and data issues with the DWH together with our data engineers
- Enhance our reporting platform, improve our Looker data model, create dashboards with actionable insights & provide recommendations to teams
- Challenge various teams on metrics/KPIs, develop improved metrics and identify process improvement opportunities
- The DnA team’s technology stack – Redshift, Spark, Looker, Python, dbt
You are...
- You have 7+ years of professional experience in a Data Analytics role of which 3+ years in a Analytics leadership role, both in a fast-paced and dynamic business setting
- You have a hands-on technical leadership style to fully understand and support the Analytics function within DnA
- You have a strong understanding of databases (relational, column-based) & SQL
- You are able to perform complex analyses, understand the intricacies of various factors, recommend decisions & are able to present them to business stakeholders
- Experienced in statistical techniques and implementing machine learning models in Python/R
- You have dash-boarding & storytelling skills (experience in Looker would be an advantage)
- Bonus points for relevant industry knowledge (marketing, pricing, strategy, supply chain, etc.)
- Bonus points if you have successfully completed a relevant Master’s degree with a strong quantitative orientation (e.g., business, economics, tech, data, econometrics, mathematics, physics)
- Bonus points for experience with ETL/ELT frameworks;
- You possess strong problem solving and analytical skills
- You have exceptional organisational & stakeholder management skills
- You are a quick learner, motivated and enjoy working with new technologies
- You have excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal) and are able to effectively communicate technical subject matter to technical & business stakeholders
