Role Summary

Role Requirements

- Adequate experience in ESA's and EU's navigation/geolocation systems is an asset.
- Comfortable working in an international and multidisciplinary environment.

The European Space Agency (ESA) is seeking multiple Navigation Systems Evolution Engineers to join our Navigation Systems Definition Section, part of the End to End Systems Division within the Systems Department at the Directorate of Technology, Engineering and Quality. Our workplace is located at ESTEC in Noordwijk, Netherlands.
The role: As a Navigation Systems Evolution Engineer, you will be involved in a range of activities including contributing, leading, and providing expert technical support to ESA projects and programs. Your focus will be on the definition, design, and development phases of positioning, navigation, timing (PNT), and geolocation systems for both Earth and space applications. This includes working on multilayer systems and related technologies, covering system architecture, signal performance, receiver algorithms, and payload system architecture.
Job requirements: Applicants should hold a master's degree in telecommunications, electronics, aerospace engineering, or a related field. You should have solid expertise and several years of professional experience in areas such as GNSS/PNT systems, deep-space navigation, and governmental satellite systems. Experience in the design and evolution of ESA and EU navigation/geolocation systems would be considered an asset. Additionally, you should be comfortable working in international and multidisciplinary environments.
