Role Summary

Role Requirements

The European Space Agency (ESA) is seeking a highly skilled System AIV Engineer to join our Space Segment AIV/AIT Engineering Section within the Systems Department of the Directorate of Technology, Engineering and Quality. Located at ESTEC in Noordwijk, Netherlands, this role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the forefront of space systems engineering.
The role: As a System AIV Engineer, you will provide expert technical support and consultancy across various ESA projects and programs. Your responsibilities will include supporting the definition and implementation of satellite verification programs, monitoring satellite AIT activities, and participating in the integration and test phases of projects. You will also be involved in supporting the preparation, organization, and execution of thermo-mechanical and electrical-functional test campaigns at both satellite system and subsystem levels.
Job requirements: The ideal candidate will have a master's degree in aerospace engineering or a related scientific discipline. You should have specific experience in assembly, integration, verification, and testing of complex space systems. Hands-on experience with satellite-related flight and ground support hardware and knowledge of ECSS standards are essential. Active participation in at least one complete satellite test campaign and support to at least one complete launch campaign in an AIT/AIV role is mandatory.
