Role Summary

The European Space Agency (ESA) is seeking a qualified Electromagnetic Compatibility Engineer to join our team at the Directorate of Technology, Engineering and Quality, located at ESTEC in Noordwijk, Netherlands. This role is crucial for supporting space projects across various domains including science, Earth observation, human spaceflight, and more.

The role: As an Electromagnetic Compatibility Engineer, you will provide engineering support to ESA projects throughout their development cycle. This includes defining and analyzing system-level requirements, participating in design and acceptance reviews, supporting EMC test campaigns, and assessing test results and non-conformances. You will also be involved in planning and managing R&D activities related to EMC and harness for space applications.

Job requirements: Applicants should hold a PhD or master's degree in physics, electrical engineering, or a related field, with a comprehensive background in electromagnetics. Profound knowledge in EMC, hands-on lab testing experience, and familiarity with EMC standards for aerospace are essential. Additional assets include experience with harness engineering, magnetic cleanliness, and electrical safety.
