Engineering Machinist

Rivan Industries is a pioneering synthetic fuel company focused on decarbonizing heavy industry. Our mission is to make synthetic fuel more affordable than fossil fuels, thereby sustaining life on Earth by keeping CO2 locked underground. We design and manufacture modular synthetic fuel plants, which include a DAC system, an Alkaline Electrolyser, and a Sabatier Reactor. These systems are integrated with off-grid DC solar and the European gas-grid.

The role: As an Engineering Machinist at Rivan Industries, you will be instrumental in our expansion. You will operate and maintain a variety of machines including manual and CNC mills and lathes, CAM software, and potentially CNC laser cutters and pipe bending machines. Your responsibilities will also include machining a variety of materials, setting up workholding, and ensuring the quality of components through rigorous inspection using advanced metrology tools.

Job requirements: We are seeking someone with 4-5 years of professional experience in a relevant environment such as a workshop, factory, or laboratory. An engineering background, either through an apprenticeship or other formal education, is essential. We value hands-on experience in project builds and personal projects that demonstrate your skill and creativity.

Benefits: The position is based in-person at our headquarters in Bermondsey, South London. We offer a competitive salary range of £40,000 to £60,000, based on experience. Additional benefits include extensive relocation support with an extra £6,000 per year to live close to our HQ, private health insurance, and unlimited time-off.
