This is a freelance part-time role, 1 day per week, ongoing. £150 per day.

We're looking to get started ASAP so don't hesitate if you're keen to apply!

About the role

This freelance creative position has a strong focus on social media channel management, and a variety of content creation and editing.

  • Follow the Escape content calendar to run our social media channels, primarily Instagram, but also Linkedin, Facebook and Twitter.
  • Create dynamic written, graphic, video content, scheduling across social, to ensure our feeds feel fresh, engaging, and encourages audience participation.
  • Listening and responding to social media messages, and engaging in community conversation to grow our social following.
  • Tracking, reporting on and optimising the success of our social media efforts using analytics and insights to help guide our social media strategy.

About you

We’re looking for someone who technically understands social media, and understands how to use creative visual content to communicate with an audience.

You...

  • Are an avidsocialmediauser with excellent real-life knowledge and understanding of different channels.
  • Are skilled in design and content creation with a creative flair when creating assets.
  • Have research skills: know where to find awesome content and how to use tools to support this.
  • Are a natural learner: always keen to seek out great examples and role models in the world of social media, and distil learnings from them.
  • Aren’t afraid of proactive outreach: use social to network with partners, influencers, and progressive thinkers.
  • Are organised, systematic, and happy creating and running streamlined processes.
  • Like to experiment, test, measure and learn: don’t accept the established way of doing things and are always looking for the next level up.

Your key skills

  • Communication expertise: experience writing in different registers and comfortable working within brand tone guidelines.
  • Experience in executing effective social media campaigns: planning, editing, publishing and measuring
  • Customer service: being a friendly and attentive ear, with positive energy for addressing lots of queries.
  • Competence in content & asset design in Canva or Adobe: to create social and content assets. Given we don’t have an in-house designer, the ability to do basic but attractive design is a must.
  • Data reporting: able to sift through data to find insights and create simple headline reports to share with the team and guide social media strategy.
  • Self-management: this role would suit someone who has other freelance clients or part-time roles, or studies. It requires someone who can self-manage and is adept at getting results without day-to-day management.
