The role: As the Outdoor Leadership Teacher, you will be responsible for developing and leading a 3-week course aimed at enhancing students' life skills such as communication, decision-making, teamwork, and confidence. You will conduct classes for international students aged 13-18, focusing on various outdoor activities like sailing, group games, and team-building exercises. The role requires you to teach for 3 hours per day, 4 afternoons per week, and participate in evening activities on a compulsory rota basis.
Job requirements: We are looking for candidates with previous teaching experience, particularly in leadership skills and working with international students. Fluency in English is a must. The ideal candidate should be a clear communicator, enthusiastic, self-motivated, and passionate about education.
Benefits: ISSOS provides accommodation and meals once students arrive, although staff are responsible for their meals during the orientation period. In addition to a fixed payment of £2,200 for the session, travel expenses up to £150 for travel to/from Cambridge are reimbursed. Staff members will also participate in various events and activities, making their summer experience enriching and enjoyable.
