The European Space Agency (ESA) is seeking a Flight Dynamics Engineer to join the Science Mission Support Section within the Flight Dynamics Division, part of the Ground Systems Engineering and Innovation Department in the Directorate of Operations. This position is based at ESOC in Darmstadt, Germany.

The role: As a Flight Dynamics Engineer, you will be involved in providing flight dynamics operations to various satellite projects. This includes the study, development, test, operations, evaluation, and maintenance activities, specifically addressing infrastructure and project-specific issues. You will be a key member of the team responsible for mission preparation, LEOP (Launch and Early Orbit Phase), and both critical and routine operations in the field of flight dynamics for future interplanetary and Lagrange missions. Some of the missions you will support include Plato, Rosalind Franklin, Ramses, Comet Interceptor, Ariel, Envision, Argonaut, and LISA, as well as inner solar system missions like Bepi-Colombo and Solar-Orbiter.

Job requirements: The ideal candidate will have a master's degree in mathematics, physics, or engineering, along with 10 years of relevant professional experience. Experience in flight dynamics support for interplanetary and Lagrange missions, particularly in the field of command generation for GNC systems, is mandatory. You must also be capable of establishing working interfaces in a multi-disciplinary and multi-project operational environment.
