The European Space Agency (ESA) is seeking a dedicated Earth Observation Ground Segment and Data Manager to join our Earth Observation Programmes Directorate at ESRIN in Frascati, Italy. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the management of ESA and third-party mission data, particularly from the Earth Explorer and Earth Watch missions.

The role: As an Earth Observation Ground Segment and Data Manager, you will be involved in the onboarding of new EO missions during the pre-launch phases and the data generation and management operations post-launch. Your responsibilities will include supporting the evaluation of new missions, contributing to the definition of system requirements, and managing the procurement and integration of new mission-specific elements. You will also ensure the operational readiness of these missions by coordinating with various teams and managing the data generation and management operations for ongoing missions.

Job requirements: Candidates should hold a master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline with at least four years of professional experience, or a bachelor's degree with an additional four years of experience. You should have solid experience in operations management for EO data generation and management systems, and possess system-level knowledge of these systems. Experience in technical project management and knowledge of procurement processes are essential.
