The European Space Agency (ESA) is seeking a Space Transportation Data Processing System Engineer to join our Directorate of Space Transportation at ESA Headquarters in Paris, France. This role is crucial for enhancing the efficiency and innovation in the manufacturing processes of European launchers through the implementation of advanced technologies.
The role: As a Space Transportation Data Processing System Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the implementation of space transportation data processing system projects. Your tasks will include coordinating with project managers and stakeholders to align system strategies with organizational goals, managing the design, development, and maintenance of data processing systems, and implementing engineering workflows to enhance performance and reliability. You will also conduct data analysis, ensure compliance with ESA and industry standards, and provide training and support to team members.
Job requirements: Candidates should have a master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline and at least 5 years of professional experience. Experience with space transportation systems or related technologies, familiarity with industry standards, and knowledge of machine learning and AI applications in data processing are essential. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment are also required. Proficiency in both English and French is necessary due to the specific activities and interfaces.
