This role is pivotal in advancing Europe's capabilities in earth observation and resilience from space.
The role: As the ERS-EO Programme Manager, you will report directly to the Head of the Earth Observation Projects Department. Your primary responsibility will be the comprehensive management and implementation of the ERS-EO programme, including all its components such as EOGS preparation, clusters, space resilience nodes, and national projects with third-party agreements across multiple countries. You will work closely with various departments within ESA and external European entities to ensure the programme's success.
Job requirements: The ideal candidate will possess a master's degree in engineering or a scientific discipline. You should have extensive experience in satellite design, development, verification/testing, launch, and in-orbit validation. Additionally, experience in managing space project development, complex project risk management, and knowledge of EO space mission operations are crucial. Leadership skills, the ability to manage and develop teams, and effective communication are essential.
