Role Summary

  • Assume responsibility for preparing the surgical theatre for operations
  • Maintain cleanliness and carry out sterilisation duties across the clinic
  • Help in handling dogs and cats for non-surgical procedures
  • Provide in-patient care and husbandry for dogs and cats in the medical ward

Role requirements

  • Experience working with animals, including handling, husbandry and understanding animal behaviour is preferable

The role: We are looking for a Theatre Veterinary Care Assistant to join our Battersea London team on a fixed term contract. You will be responsible for preparing the surgical theatre for operations, cleaning and sterilising duties throughout the clinic, assisting with handling dogs and cats for non-surgical procedures, and providing in-patient care and husbandry for dogs and cats in the medical ward.

Job requirements: The ideal candidate would have animal-related work experience; to include handling, husbandry and knowledge of behaviour of dogs and cats.
