A Little About Ooni

We’re very hot. Specifically, 900°F hot. That’s the perfect temperature to cook world-class pizza in sixty seconds, a mark all Ooni ovens can achieve in about 15 minutes. When we launched in 2012, we created a category by offering a small, fast, and accessible wood-fired pizza oven that gave ordinary people the critical tool to make great pizza at home. 

Now we’re on fire. Exponential growth, global distribution, an ever-expanding product portfolio that goes well beyond ovens, and a growing community of Ooni-lovers around the world who sing our praises and treat their friends and family to epic pizza. About the role

In short - help us make stuff happen, on time and in full. We are a rapidly growing company with 101 awesome things we’d like to do - we need someone who embraces the challenges and excitement that the wild ride of such enormous growth brings, harnesses that fulfilment beast, and tames that sucker to be a purring little pussy cat.  We need somebody excellent to help own making those things happen in our biggest market. At all times - you will think about how we make our delivery experience world class for EVERY customer. You will cook pizza. And you will eat pizza. And you’ll share a slice.

As our VP of Logistics, you will be responsible for the management of our US and Canadian logistics and fulfillment operations, and the amazing team behind it all. You need to absolutely LOVE customers, big and small. You will get big kicks from absolutely acing our metrics. If you get really happy at the thought of making sure Cindy in Florida gets her Ooni Pizza Oven delivered on time, then keep reading. You will:

• 
  
• Shape and deliver the US Logistics Strategy by supporting the continued growth of the business, developing & leading the Logistics roadmap.
  
• Develop & mentor the Austin based Logistics team ensuring engagement and understanding of the wider Operations team
  
• Effectively manage partnerships with the 3PL warehouses & transport providers, ensuring operational effectiveness & exceptional service - when we say world class, we mean it - we target excellence as standard. 
  
• Work with blue chip retail clients we are proud to work with, such as Williams Sonoma, Dicks Sporting Goods, ACE Hardware, REI, and Bloomingdales. 
  
• Deal with Amazon, where we sell FBA. 
  
• Serve the hundreds of thousands of direct ecom purchasers we are proud to call our customers, day in, day out. 
  
• Drive continuous improvement projects across end-to-end logistics
  
• Drive actions in line with long-term strategy, striving towards an optimal situation across quality, service, and cost.
  
• Own the multi-million dollar logistics budget and work out how to deliver all the above in the most cost-effective manner possible. 
  

Requirements:

• 
  
• A significant proven track record of working in a fast paced, large scale distribution environment for market leading consumer products businesses
  
• Extensive Multi-Channel fulfilment experience - fulfilment of a consumer product to US “Big Box” Retailer and fulfilment via E-commerce channels
  
• Global Knowledge would advantageous but not necessary
  
• Previous experience driving large strategic change i.e. Tenders, New Product launches etc with either domestic or international markets
  
• Commercially astute individual with exceptional supplier & senior stakeholder management. Strong financial acumen and analytical skills are a must. 
  
• Experienced people manager, successfully developing & upskilling a team.
  
• Excellent negotiating & influencing skills
  
• Ability to understand complex operations and drive change
  
• Enthusiasm to deliver a best in class supply chain and develop yourself & others
  
• Strong Communicator and able to build great internal and external relationships.
