We are excited to announce the launch of a new tool aimed at helping community groups develop renewable energy projects. Our goal is to democratize access to high-quality technical capabilities, typically reserved for larger utility-scale projects, and bring them to community levels across the UK.
The role: As a Community Engagement Lead, you will be instrumental in architecting and delivering the engagement strategy for our pilot projects. Your main responsibilities will include designing and leading the engagement strategy for pilot users and wider community groups, building a clear framework for community participation, and ensuring continuous feedback loops and growth. You will also chair weekly online sessions with pilot communities, gather structured feedback, and translate these insights into actionable reports for our technical team. Additionally, you will lead outreach campaigns, create and manage content across various platforms, and coordinate marketing materials.
Job requirements: The ideal candidate should have a strong background in community engagement, excellent communication skills, and experience in project management and facilitation. You should be able to work independently and collaboratively, have a proactive approach to problem-solving, and be comfortable working in a hybrid environment.
Benefits: This part-time, 9-month contract offers a pro-rata salary of £18,000 for a 3-day work week, with required in-person sessions in London every fortnight. You will have the opportunity to work on groundbreaking projects that have a tangible impact on community energy initiatives.
