BI Analyst

We’re looking for a driven, organised and commercially-minded Business Intelligence Analyst to work closely with the leadership team and across the business to develop our business intelligence and reporting capabilities (including through our Looker platform) and to solve key business problems using data

Your key responsibilities will be to:

• Work with stakeholders to understand their data and reporting needs, using the Looker platform and other tools to develop and maintain the capabilities to aid them in their day-to-day decision making
• Works with datasets and manage existing models and dashboards in Looker including troubleshooting existing model errors, implementing data security requirements, and creating objects
• Work closely with the senior leadership team to support strategic business planning, identify and help to solve key business problems, such as pricing strategies
• Supporting functions such as finance to report on the success of projects and build more accurate forecasting models
• Over time, work with the engineering team and wider data team to support maintenance of Zeelo’s data ecosystem, integrate the other sources of data and analytics we collect to build a more rounded understanding
• Improve data visualisation and encourage the business to develop a culture of data-led decision making

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

• A structured and analytical profile, simplifying complex projects and delivering business objectives in a systematic fashion
• Strong experience with SQL, and a quick learner on self-serve analytical tools (eg. Looker) 
• At least 2 years commercial experience working in a role with a strong BI, insights or analytics component where you used a Power BI, Tableau or a similar visualisation software. We use Looker and Google Big Query so experience with these would be ideal 
• A team player who enjoys working with others to solve big, key problems; communicating effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
• Effective at prioritisation and able to work independently; have an eye for the high-impact initiatives over others
• Strong stakeholder management skills and a fantastic communicator 
• Able to use multiple systems and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
