The European Space Agency (ESA) is seeking a Launch Service Market Demand Expert to join the Directorate of Space Transportation (STS) at ESA Headquarters in Paris, France. This role is crucial for shaping Europe's space transportation strategy by providing high-quality, data-driven market intelligence.
The role: As a Launch Service Market Demand Expert, you will report to the Head of Collective Launch Service support function within Strategy and Institutional Launches. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting comprehensive launch service market demand assessments, monitoring and collecting information on worldwide space transportation demand, and maintaining and improving the ESA launch service market demand database. You will also perform yearly overall market demand assessments and provide support in strategic planning and decision-making processes.
Job requirements: The ideal candidate will have a master's degree in engineering or a business discipline, along with at least 10 years of relevant professional experience. You should possess an in-depth understanding of global space transportation demand, expertise in managing market demand databases, and strong data analysis and modelling capabilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and related data processing tools is essential.
