The European Space Agency (ESA) is seeking a VEGA-C Mission Performance Engineer to join our team at ESRIN in Frascati, Italy. This role is crucial for the Vega and Space Rider Launch System and Engineering Division within the Flight Programmes Department of the Directorate of Space Transportation.

The role: As a VEGA-C Mission Performance Engineer, you will be under the direct authority of the Vega and Space Rider Launch System and Engineering Manager. Your primary responsibility will be to lead and centralize the analysis, assessment, verification, and evolution monitoring of the key performance indicators of the Vega-C Launch System. This includes performing systematic evaluations of the Launch System’s observed performances across all missions and conducting detailed reviews of flight data and outcomes as presented during the flight exploitation reviews. You will ensure that performance results are accurately interpreted, consolidated, and compared against technical requirements and historical trends, identifying potential deviations and improvement opportunities, and proposing corrective or optimization actions.

Job requirements: The ideal candidate will have a master's degree in a relevant engineering field and at least 10 years of relevant professional experience. Direct experience in the development of Vega-related products and in the management of lessons learned databases will be considered an asset.
