ISSOS is seeking a Creative Writing Teacher for our summer school program at St Andrews. This role is an exciting opportunity to engage with international students aged 13-18 and guide them through the creative writing process.

The role - As a Creative Writing Teacher, you will conduct interactive workshops that cover all phases of the writing process, from idea generation to revising drafts and editing. Your main goal will be to help students produce original poems, scripts, and short stories. You will also select outstanding student works to be featured in our summer school magazine, The ISSOS Times.
Job requirements - Applicants must have previous teaching experience, preferably with international students. A strong command of English and a variety of writing techniques is essential. We are looking for individuals who are charismatic, inspirational, and capable of providing a nurturing yet challenging environment.
Benefits - The position is fully residential with all accommodation and meals provided once students arrive. Staff members are also involved in various events and activities, making it a dynamic work environment. The role offers a salary of £2,200 GBP per session, with the potential to earn £4,400 GBP for the full contract. Travel expenses up to £150 are reimbursed.
Additional information - All staff must pass a full criminal background check. Applicants must be UK citizens or have the legal right to work in the UK, as visa sponsorship is not available.
