The role: As a Space Rider Ground Segment Engineer, you will be a crucial part of the Space Rider Programme. Reporting directly to the Space Rider Programme Manager, your responsibilities will include overseeing the technical activities related to the development, validation, and operation of the Space Rider ground segment and landing site. This involves close interaction with the Vega and Space Rider Integrated Project Team, ensuring the coherence of system, subsystem, and ground-related activities.
Job requirements: The ideal candidate will have a master's degree in engineering or a related discipline, along with at least 5 years of relevant professional experience. You should possess deep knowledge of ground segment system definition, mission operations, and system engineering aspects. Experience in project development activities, including ESA reviews, is essential. A structured and organized approach to work, the ability to handle stress and meet deadlines, and effective teamwork skills are also required. Previous experience with Space Rider activities and operational ground segment design will be considered an asset.
