Role Summary

  • Responsible for maintaining, enhancing, and modernising the Range infrastructure at Europe's spaceport.

The European Space Agency (ESA) is seeking a Spaceport Infrastructure Project Lead to join our team at the ESA Headquarters in Paris, France, with a resident assignment to Kourou, French Guiana. This position is crucial for supporting ESA's responsibilities related to Europe's spaceport in French Guiana, which receives substantial funding and is managed through collaborations with CNES and various industrial stakeholders.

The Role: As the Spaceport Infrastructure Project Lead, you will be instrumental in the maintenance, renovation, and modernization of the Range infrastructure at the spaceport. This role involves managing a portfolio of ground segment activities, ensuring the infrastructure supports current and future launch operations, and contributing to the long-term evolution of the spaceport infrastructure. You will act as ESA's technical interface with CNES, industrial contractors, and launch service providers.

Job Requirements: Candidates must hold a master's degree in a relevant field and have at least 5 years of professional experience, preferably in the space industry or with space agencies. Experience in managing complex engineering projects, familiarity with ground segment systems, and strong leadership capabilities are essential.
