Counselor

ISSOS is an organization dedicated to providing a safe, fun, and educational summer experience for students aged 13-18 from over 80 countries. We are located in the prestigious university town of St Andrews and are known for our commitment to excellence in service and education.

The role: As a Counselor at ISSOS, you will be responsible for the welfare of up to 160 students, managing a group of up to 15 students. Your duties will include organizing and running sporting activities, evening programs, and supervising cultural trips. You will act as a positive role model and the first point of contact for the students, ensuring their safety and happiness throughout their stay.

Job requirements: Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience working with young people. Fluency in English is essential, and interests in sports, music, theatre, dance, or other hobbies will be advantageous. We are looking for individuals who are fun, don't take themselves too seriously, work well in a team, stay calm under pressure, and have clear and effective communication skills.

Benefits: Staff members receive a salary of £2,200 per session, with the full contract amounting to £4,400. Accommodation and meals (once students arrive) are provided. Additionally, travel expenses up to £150 for travel to and from St Andrews are reimbursed.
