At the Directorate of Human and Robotic Exploration Programmes (D/HRE) at ESA, you join a team spearheading space exploration with a focus on areas where humans and robots coexist. As the EAC and Astronaut Communication Officer, you orchestrate communication affairs with ESA astronauts and corresponding experts.
Role Summary

- Oversee and optimize all communication activities for the European Astronaut Centre and the LUNA analog facility.
Role Requirements
- A master's degree in a relevant field and minimum four years of professional experience.
- Significant international communication experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge in space science, space technology, space transportation, and space engineering and operations.
- Proficiency in French and/or German is advantageous.

The Directorate of Human and Robotic Exploration Programmes (D/HRE) at ESA is dedicated to exploring space destinations where humans and robots coexist for scientific research, economic development, international cooperation, and public inspiration. As the EAC and Astronaut Communication Officer, you will report to the Human Exploration Group Leader and coordinate with the HRE Communication Programme Officer.
The role: Your main responsibility will be to develop and execute communication activities involving ESA astronauts and the experts interacting with them. This includes implementing strategic communication activities and organizing campaigns for the European Astronaut Centre, space missions of European astronauts, and the LUNA analog facility. You will define, execute, monitor, and improve all communication activities of the European Astronaut Centre and the LUNA analog facility.
Job requirements: You are expected to have a master's degree in a relevant domain and at least four years of relevant professional experience. Significant experience in communication in an international environment and knowledge of space science, space technology, space transportation, and space engineering and operations are essential. Proficiency in French and/or German will be considered an asset.
