Runna is an innovative training platform for runners. Our vision to transform everyday runners into outstanding athletes has made us a rapidly growing startup, and we recently secured major funding and achieved recognition as one of three global finalists for the 2024 iPhone App of the Year. We were also recently acquired by Strava, further solidifying our status as a leading global training platform for runners. As we enter this new phase, we're inviting a passionate and experienced individual to join our dynamic creative team, with the goal of spearheading our performance creative function.

Role Summary

  • Oversee the development of strategic creatives across multiple platforms including Meta, TikTok, and YouTube.
  • Develop and manage a robust creative testing framework.
  • Improve marketing performance metrics such as customer acquisition costs (CAC) and lifetime value (LTV).
  • Work collaboratively with the Creative and Paid Media teams.

Role Requirements

  • At least 4+ years of experience in creative strategy, performance marketing, or paid social media.
  • Profound knowledge of major social media platforms and their creative strategies.
  • Experience with Figma and familiarity with managing complex creative workflows.
  • Excellent organizational skills and a strategic mindset.

We are building a talented team to create the #1 training platform for runners. Our mission is to help everyday runners become outstanding by providing an incredible app that offers world-class training, coaching, and community support for all levels, from improving 5k times to training for marathons. Our company is experiencing rapid growth, having closed a $6.5M funding round in November 2023 led by JamJar with participation from Eka Ventures, Venrex, and Creator Ventures. In 2024, we were selected by Apple as one of three global finalists for the 2024 iPhone App of the Year, highlighting our innovation and impact. In 2025, we were acquired by Strava, which accelerates our journey towards becoming the leading global training platform for runners.

Our team is passionate and dynamic, and we are excited to expand our in-house Creative team, which includes producers, strategists, and UGC managers. We focus on creating engaging, scroll-stopping content for platforms like Meta, TikTok, and YouTube. We value curiosity, bold ideas, and testing innovative concepts.

The role involves taking full ownership of Runna’s performance creative function. You will set the strategic vision, manage cross-functional production, and develop high-performing creative assets across multiple channels. Reporting to Laura, the Head of Performance Marketing, you will lead the end-to-end creative strategy aimed at improving customer acquisition costs (CAC) and lifetime value (LTV). Your responsibilities include building and managing a quarterly creative roadmap aligned with channel priorities and business goals, overseeing creative briefs, and managing internal and external producers for static, video, and UGC content.

You will also be responsible for evolving a robust creative testing framework, scaling successful ideas, and optimizing underperformers. Exploring AI and automation tools to enhance production efficiency will be part of your role. Additionally, you will act as a bridge between the Creative and Paid Media teams to ensure alignment, communication, and measurable results.

Candidates should have at least 4+ years of experience in creative strategy, performance marketing, or paid social media. Proven expertise in leading creative strategies across Meta, TikTok, and YouTube is essential. Proficiency in Figma for idea mapping and collaboration, along with experience managing complex creative workflows and cross-functional teams, is required. A deep understanding of UGC, ad testing, and performance creative best practices is also necessary. Strong organizational skills, strategic thinking, and a passion for innovation are highly valued.

Bonus points are given for a background in fitness, health, or lifestyle brands, and hands-on experience sourcing UGC creators at scale.
