What will you be doing?
Hoylake & West Kirby Sea Cadets is part of the UK’s leading maritime charity, offering young people a head start in life through nautical adventure and fun. Our volunteers play a vital role, both behind the scenes and working directly with cadets, to help them develop skills and confidence.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to lead fundraising initiatives that will help sustain and grow our unit. As Fundraising Events Lead, you will:
- Plan and organise fundraising events (We have two large annual events per year, with scope to add more).
- Promote fundraising activities through social media, local press, and community networks.
- Manage fundraising events, ensuring that sufficient volunteer teams are in place, coordination of logistics, providing briefings and ensuring that events run smoothly.
- Work closely with the Unit Management Team (UMT) to set fundraising targets and manage budgets.
- Encourage cadets, parents, and volunteers to get involved in fundraising efforts.
What are we looking for?
Someone with experienced in either fundraising and/or event management, with passion and enthusiasm.
Our ideal candidate:
- Is organised, creative, and enjoys planning events.
- Has good communication skills and enjoys working with people.
- Is passionate about helping young people succeed.

We meet in person once a month at the unit - 3rd Thursday of the month. The rest of the volunteer work can be completed remotely as and when suits.
