The Youth Endowment Fund is dedicated to preventing children and young people from becoming involved in violence. We aim to build a comprehensive body of knowledge about violence affecting young people and effective strategies to reduce it. Our mission is to transform this knowledge into actionable insights for decision-makers in support services for vulnerable youth.
The Role: As a Programme Manager, you will play a crucial role in selecting and overseeing projects that aim to prevent youth violence. You will be responsible for assessing funding applications, critically appraising delivery plans and budgets, and forming recommendations for our senior leadership. Additionally, you will manage relationships with grantees and ensure that funded activities meet evaluation standards, particularly focusing on the feasibility of conducting randomized controlled trials.
Job Requirements: We seek candidates from diverse backgrounds, possibly with experience in the youth sector, policing, criminal justice, education, or community engagement. While experience in conducting randomized controlled trials is beneficial, it is not mandatory. You should possess strong project management skills, excellent judgment, and the ability to handle complex problems and stakeholder relationships effectively.
Benefits: - £1,000 professional development budget annually - 28 days holiday plus Bank Holidays - Employee Assistance Programme - Volunteering days - Death in service benefit - Flexible working hours - Financial support including travel and hardship loans - Employer contributed pension of 5%.
To Apply: Interested candidates should submit a CV and a cover letter addressing specific questions related to their experience and capabilities in managing projects and handling evaluations. Applications must be submitted by 12pm on Friday, 13th March 2026.
